Overview

In line with the recent NATO enlargement AmCham Bulgaria and American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce are pleased to introduce you to the status of modernization of the armies and the reforms in the defense sectors in the SEEuropean countries, as well as the immediate advantages of doing business in the region.

The economic implications of NATO membership are quite clearly seen: expanding production capacities, greater level of safety in business strategic planning, easier access to new technologies, opportunities for research and development, expansion to new makerts.

The enlargement of NATO will definitely affect the defense industry. The sector will need fresh capital, investments and strategic partnerships in order to meet the needs of modern Balkan armies and security systems, which are predetermined by the requirements of NATO membership.
